Riverside Amphitheater – Jefferson City, MO
Type of work: Structural Engineering,
Nestled in Ellis-Porter Riverside Park, the Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater adds beauty and function to Jefferson City’s riverfront. With terraced seating for 500 and open lawn space accommodating nearly 2,000 guests, the venue is designed to bring the community together for concerts, performances, and events in a scenic outdoor setting.
Allstate provided structural design services for key elements of the project, including the amphitheater’s main stage steel structure, CMU and wood-truss dressing rooms — also known as the “band hut” — and a wood-framed restroom facility. A serpentine, cantilevered CMU wall was strategically designed to separate and conceal the performance area from the band’s staging zone, blending function with architectural interest.
