The position involves a mix of private land development projects in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors as well as municipal engineering tasks including utilities, roadways, parks, and trails.
Responsibilities:
1. Engineering Design and Analysis:
· Prepare civil engineering designs for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management systems
· Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support stormwater conveyance, detention, and water quality designs
· Develop construction documents such as plans, details, specifications, and quantity estimates
· Use standard engineering software and tools for site design and stormwater modeling
2. Project Coordination and Support:
· Coordinate with project managers, planners, surveyors, and other disciplines to support project delivery
· Prepare permit applications and technical documentation for land development and stormwater approvals
· Respond to agency comments and revise designs as needed to obtain permits
· Provide engineering support during construction, including field visits and responses to RFIs

Responsibilities:
· Set up and operate basic surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, levels) under supervision
· Collect field measurements and data accurately and efficiently
· Perform tasks such as boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys
· Maintain clear field notes and electronic data records
· Download and organize survey data for office processing
· Assist with basic CAD drafting and data processing as needed
· Help identify site conditions, obstacles, and discrepancies in the field
· Work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
