With headquarters in Columbia, MO, and additional offices in Marceline, Lee’s Summit, and Camdenton, MO, our team supports every phase of project development—from funding acquisition and planning to design, construction inspection, and post-project support.

We bring specialized expertise in Civil, Structural, Water and Environmental, Transportation, Geotechnical, and Forensic and Investigative Engineering, as well as providing associated support services such as Construction Observation and Materials Testing.
Our History
Allstate Consultants was founded in 1975 by Ron Shy, whose commitment to collaboration and community laid the foundation for the firm’s vision. Partnering with contractors and a local planning commission, Ron began by providing engineering and surveying services in northeast and north-central Missouri. In addition to public sector work, he supported numerous residential subdivisions and private developments across the region. As word spread of Ron’s dedication to his clients, so did the necessity to expand. In the early 1980s, Ron brought on additional team members.
Today, Allstate remains locally owned and operated with four offices and approximately 50 employees. We continue to deliver responsive, high-quality engineering services with the attention to detail and cost-conscious approach that has earned the trust of our clients for five decades.
