Missouri Public Utility Alliance Campus

Allstate supported site selection and final design for the Missouri Public Utility Alliance Office Campus in Columbia, Missouri. Preliminary subsurface exploration identified extensive undocumented fill, leading to a revised building layout. Expansive clays and weathered claystone were identified with high shrink-swell potential. Allstate recommended soil remediation by replacing problematic soils with moisture-conditioned, compacted lean clay fill. Buildings were constructed on shallow foundations and slabs placed on low-volume-change zones.
