Water treatment facility and distribution system improvements were completed in 2013. The water treatment facility is an excess lime soften plant with 3 wells and currently operates at 250 gpm with a filtering capacity of 500 gpm. The improvements consisted of a new elevated finished water storage reservoir, water transmission mains, water supply well, induced draft aerator, chemical feed system, disinfection with chloramines, on-line laboratory testing, and SCADA system. The improvements help the District provide more water for the increasing user demand and comply with more stringent regulations.
