City of Barnard Water Tank
Type of work: Civil Engineering,
The City of Barnard had a small elevated finished water storage tank that had become outdated. The pedestal style tank and water main piping allowed the City to maintain better water service to their customers. The height of the new tank was elevated above the old tank which allowed higher and more consistent water pressure to the water customers. The City’s water supply wells and water plant were in poor condition and the new elevated tank allowed the City to purchase water from the adjacent water district allowing the City to abandon their water treatment facilities.
